KLPR Group Styles BET Promo Commercial
Celebrity Stylist / Publicist Kathy Liautaud, Founder of KLPR Group Styles BET Promo Commercial for Black History Month
NEW YORK, NY, January 20, 2009 /Fashion PR News/ -- "As we celebrate Dr.Martin Luther Kings birthday and are about to welcome our nation's first black president into office, it is vital that we pay tribute to the countless Blacks that were pioneers in their respected industries, and that paved the way for Blacks," said Kathy Liautaud, the wardrobe stylist on set for the shoot.
Kathy decided to mostly use Black clothing designers for the shoot to commemorate the achievements that Blacks have accomplished in the fashion industry and showcase the well crafted and intricate designs of the designers. Black history month is a time to reflect about the past, and gain inspiration from its rich and colorful history and numerous accomplishments. "It is beautiful to see the major strides that Black Americans have contributed in the fashion industry," states the stylist.
Diamond Headz Brand, the progressive "Japanese street meets urban chic" Tee shirt collection was one of many Black clothing lines featured in the promo commercial. Dwane Rich the Visionaire/ Designer of the line, who is of Jamaican descent had this to say, "As we see President Elect Barack Obama making history and about to be inaugurated into office, Blacks can be inspired to pursue their dreams and conquer all fields in the industry, especially fields that do not have adequate representation of Blacks."
Diamond Headz Brand is generating tremendous buzz and will make its debut this spring.
Special thanks to Sean John, Baby Phat, Akoo, Phat Farm, H&M, and Play Clothing for allowing their clothing to be incorporated in the promo commercial.
