Shekhar Rahate Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
He is the first designer to work and do shows for the United Mission at the assembly hall.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, March 12, 2009 /Fashion PR News/ -- Shekhar Rahate, Managing Director of Shekhar Rahate Haute Couture, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of fashion design.
With 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, Mr. Rahate designs women's fashions and exotic evening gowns. The first designer to work and do shows for the United Mission at the assembly hall, he is responsible for launching the "India Queen" beauty pageant in 1997 in Mumbai, which achieved international affiliation in 1998. He also fully choreographed "KABULTEX" in October 1999 at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai with designer Seema Roy and other local designers, and he worked with models including Gul Panag, Malaika Arora and Rajlaxmi Khanvilakar. A former model and photogapher himself, Mr. Rahate found a connection with the fashion world after working with stylists backstage. He attributes his success to hard work.
Mr. Rahate holds diplomas in photography and fashion design from Dubai Fashion School. He hopes to sell his designs in stores, become a branded label and achieve worldwide recognition for his work.
