Premiere Vision Pluriel Shows Highlight Signs of Optimism

Exhibitors and international buyers at the Première Vision Pluriel shows underlined the stimulating atmosphere prevailing throughout the four days of the session.

TOUR VENTOSE, FRANCE, November 13, 2009 /Fashion PR News/ -- Dynamism, energy, a positive approach, passion, zest, optimism, a fighting spirit: whichever words they used to describe it, exhibitors and international buyers at the Première Vision Pluriel shows underlined the stimulating atmosphere prevailing throughout the four days of the session. A promising shift in terms of the economic context, and one that made its presence felt across the 6 shows. Together they registered 55,758 visits from fashion professionals, an increase of 13.2 % over the February 2009 show.

New initiatives undertaken to highlight synergies between the different shows (an Interactive Map/Guide, the Pluriel Expert Trails) all provided buyers effective assistance in organizing their work, helping them to quickly find their bearings amid the some 1,600 exhibitors brought together at Première Vision Pluriel.

The Fair Demonstrates Energy and International Reach

The latest edition of ModAmont clocked more than 20,000 visits (20,423). The energy of its exhibitors and visitors and the start of an upturn in business have all been strong points of this fair.

While the economic climate continues to concern a market in the throes of adaptation, attendance at ModAmont is a remarkable 6% ahead compared to February 2009. This indicates the determination of the market players to drive ahead. This increase was noticeable from the beginning of the fair, with a particularly strong opening day (4,189 visitors).

ModAmont demonstrates that it is clearly an International Fair with foreign visitors making up 60% of the attendance, although there was a noticeable increase in French visitors (+10%).

In the European Union, while attendance from Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom was down slightly, Northern Europe's increased substantially - Belgium (574), Denmark (162), the Netherlands (458) and Sweden (171) in particular. In addition, Turkey (358), Tunisia (150) and Russia (136) also showed a rise.

The major export destinations were very visible, with increased attendance: United States (527), Canada (134), Korea (171), Brazil (238), China (370), Hong-Kong (133), and Taiwan (103). Only Japan was down (314).

Exhibitors Demonstrate Innovation and New Growth

The 250 exhibitors played a major part in the success of this edition. Far from presenting simple or reworked products, companies demonstrated their innovation in terms of shapes, materials, decoration, technology and finishes, drawing on all the expertise of their teams. They thoroughly impressed visitors during the four days of the fair. In addition, 23 new companies added to the depth, notably in the luxury and couture sector, some of whom brought unique expertise to the fair - and also in the packaging sector whose innovations were visible on the dedicated space: ModPack. This effort from exhibitors to surmount the crisis with exceptional collections was well-illustrated by the creativity and timeliness of the samples presented at the general Display forum.

This session signaled encouragement for the future. The wide range of products offered by ModAmont's exhibitors, their complement to the other fairs of Première Vision Pluriel, and the many initiatives put in place to support the international buyers, were well received. Participants commented that the fair was rich in new contacts both in France and abroad. Clearly, they were delighted to see the return of attendees ready to place orders.

With such a positive event, ModAmont is certain to be THE must-attend international event for accessories and supplies for fashion and design.
